SEEKING PEACE
By Shahbaz Isra Khan
Sun has descended with the fear of darkness
Mountains and deserts fearing with its sharpness
Plants and trees all in slumber
Wants to wake them from the tools of plumber
My home is submerged in the ocean of blood
Should wake my people to run out of flood
Ah! Shadows are here.
Everyone wants to see a golden ray of light
Through a sparkling diamond hole of sight
Rose is withering and bud is weeping
Life is lamenting and death is whisperin… Continue
Aspiring lips and searching eyes
Withering buds and shattering dreams
Smog spilling with no hope of light
Eyes searching for a rainbow in twilight
Can I find them in dusky night?
Dingy way that always sway
With sharp thorns poisoning the way
Challenging my soul to be thrown away
My dreams, Ah! My Dreams.
There comes an angelic wing
Taking my dreams into a sparkling ring
A world of mine, where shatter dreams will combine
To make the physiognomy of mine
A panoramic colorful hue o… Continue

The Beautiful, Beckoning Wood - Lynda Lehmann c 2010
The arbor gleams. Trees gesture, dance and sway, playing with the showering gold of sunlight. Vines crawl and meander, yet always ascending. Textures pop and reflect the underlying vitality, setting the precedent for "Form."… Continue

My head is still running all over the place, especially now that I go back to school in two days. I'm now wondering how I'm gonna do this blog of mine and do my homework assignments for my classes, which are far from easy. Yikes!
I've never felt so unwilling to going back to school until now. Nervous, maybe, but not unwilling to go back to school. Hopefully, things will just fall into place, but I'm not sure that things are gonna be that simple this year. :( Continue

YOUTH AND EXTREMISM
Bomb blasts, target killings, assassinations, bleeding faces, lamenting souls and much more is a routine account of the place where I abode. But still we all are unable to resolve the underlying enigma of terrorism that has now penetrated deep into our veins and is now intoxicating the minds of our youth with extreme thoughts and zealot behaviors. The story does not start from here and we can not blame a single group, region or any ideology for it, ra… Continue
My art is evolving into collage. It started when I discovered rubber stamping to make greeting cards. I found a woman who sells Stamp It Up! products and she taught me how to make a simple greeting card with cut out and stamped figures on it. The cards are simple, look pretty good for an amateur, and I think they sell a lot of product to crafty people who think they have 2 left thumbs and can't do anything artistic. Well, that's not really me! I'm not scared off by the idea of learning a new art… Continue

I was sitting back last night thinking of what I'd forgotten to do. There was plenty. LOL
But the thought came to mind as I was trying to list and put away the recent goodys for the bags at EPICon that I really need to give a shout out to those who have done so much and given so freely.
First, I was to thank Rhonda Penders and R. J. Morris (The Wild Rose Press) for furnishing the bags to hold all the goodies. I'm thrilled with their choice of bags. You're going to love them!
