Having recently begun writing quotes, this is one of Donna Marino's current favorites: Life is like a television screen. The quality of reception depends on our perception. Be a High Definition thinker on a plasma screen in a black and white world. And don't let anyone mess with your remote.
Self described amateur writer and photographer, she leans toward creative writing and the focus of many of her pieces is devoted to wordplay as in her manuscript entitled ‘Playing with Words’ written for her niece. The book is now being illustrated for publication. Donna doesn’t mince words and has an uncanny ability to turn a phrase that will surely leave you shaking your head.
Her journey and love affair with words began in a little online café, where she spent much time bantering back and forth with friends and acquaintances on the other side of the pond.
While she’ll not feign being a writer wielding a magic pen, she promises you... Harold's Purple Crayon has got nothing over her. Most of her writes are what she refers to as creative energy escaping the chambers of a busy mind, where they would otherwise be held hostage. Oh dear.
With an insatiable yearning to learn, she plans to be the first person to learn...well, everything! It matters not the height or depth and breadth of complexity, Donna is just stubborn enough to wrestle the problematic to its knees.
Give her a topic, and she'll write something worth the read.
“Donna is a real no-nonsense worker who is honest in her dealings. She is also a person who has found a new world of self-expression. I whole-heatedly encourage her. Her wit, honesty and drive are refreshing and will take her far." ~ Mary Deal - author of "The Tropics," "River Bones" and "The Ka."
Your poetry and visual sonari has a movie like quality which I could feel through some emotions rising from within as took in your presentation especially with the accompanied sax and moody tune. Although your words were of humanity I imagined Eagles and some wild birds as you talked about soaring into the heavens. Anyway I enjoy your work!
Thanks for your warm welcome :) I'm new here and still a little lost but will find my way around :)
Your work is so inspiring to me...
Nice meeting you..
