Lumina
- LUMINA, the literary magazine of the Graduate Writing Program of Sarah Lawrence College, was originally conceived in the Fall semester of 2000, by a group of three graduate poetry and fiction students. It is the first graduate magazine to be produced on the campus since 1991. We felt that our vibrant MFA program deserved its own literary magazine, and that students deserved an outlet for our writing that we could have a hand in creating. After consulting with those who had worked on Sarah Lawrence’s previous literary magazines, and a year of working to secure the necessary funding, the magazine was officially launched as LUMINA in December of 2001. The students’ efforts are supported by faculty advisors and by the Writing Program’s Administrative staff, all of whom assist in making the production of LUMINA possible.
