Hi Cher,

I'll put joining adrtribunals on my list of things to do. I just read Jens Mugge's posts and am anxious to try out Ping.fm by Wednesday to see if it will make my life easier.

About SBI: It's "Site Build It". At the core, it hosts websites. What it also does is provide a simple online interface to build your website or allow you to upload your own HTML that has code to let it interact with SBI's stuff, like traffic tracking.
The structure of my http://www.fantasy-art-and-portraits.com was put together using their online interface. The slides I got from Slide.com, and the pictures are mostly stored on Flickr.
SBI also has a big community forum, and a step-by-step guide to making a site that will rank well and getting your own traffic instead of paying for it. People who've followed the SBI way of CTPM (Content draws Traffic you Presell with your site content so that it will Monetize better) claim astonishing success. They gave me this link -- http://www.sitesell.com/Simon56.html -- to direct people to a page that tells you all about it. It looks like the 30-day free trial offer is still available, and I believe during that time you get to use their research tools like seeing site supply/traffic demand for various keywords.

After a few months with them now, I think what SBI "really" sells is the idea of how to build and market websites effectively. I mean, anyone can get site hosting anywhere, right? The automated work like prepping and updating files for search engines is very nice, but I doubt that's unique.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Yeah. iADRt - or international Alternative Dispute Resolution tribunals- is not well understood. Will take you valued remarks and see something to rectify this. Well hence my site :-) - to rectify the lack of awareness of what ADR can offer. There's other sites (big money making institutions) around just not well publicised for folks like you and me.

You're welcome to join www.adrtribunals.com and offer your expertise there. I do need people like you willing and able to offer their expertise in various areas.
BTW what is SBI?

Thanks again,
Cher

Hi Cher,

(1) Manual Submission
The big engines like this as it discourages auto-submission and spamming. However, it may not be necessary for blogs as they get spidered all on their own. For websites, mine was done with SBI so a lot of the technical stuff was done for me and is continually updated. I only did the necessary human part of submitting. I confess I don't know how it all works, only that it's good to do it.
You could try not submitting, and instead get your page linked to a relevant site that is already established with search engines. That way, when they get checked out by search engines, the spiders will follow the link to your site and thereby add it to their searches. I think. At least that's what I'm told happens to blogs.

(2) Your site: I visited it long ago when you told me about it. I must confess it all seems over my head. I'm still not entirely clear what an IADRT is (and I guess I was too embarrassed to ask). You might try an easier "for Dummies" About Page, with the technique of present-a-problem-and-solve-it to introduce what IADRT is.
It would go something like this:

Step 1: Talk about a common experience that you assume your audience has experienced or heard about

"You know how you always end up waiting in the doctor's office because they are always running behind?"

Step 2: Tell how your business solves it.

"Well, What FantasticTimeWarp does is recover that lost time for you!"

Hope this helps. (^_^)

Hi Simon again,

Oh! I find my target audience for my site www.adrtribunals.com are not too easy to reach online as most are just 'e-mail' users :-)

Do give me your views on my site as I need to further improve on it.
I love this site as it's so visually attractive and active too.

welcome your views,
Cher

Hi Cher,

There's an article on the "Top Search Engines" here: http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/searchenginehandbook/a/top10_search_5.htm, though I confess I haven't heard of Vivisimo.
From what I understand, after the top four, the market share is so minute that effort vs. return is supposedly very small.
My site was manually submitted to Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask. It's now month 3 and so far in November the report shows about 338 referrals from Google, 18 from Yahoo, 4 from MSN, and still nothing from Ask.

Can't remember if I asked already: Are you on Twitter? Try TweetBeeps to help you find good people to follow. The 5-cows video says about 1-in-3 people you follow will follow you back. Tie it in with regular blogging. It's supposed to be really powerful. I need to follow up on my TweetBeeps results to see where that goes.

Hello,

I'm searching for 'free' tools to help me advertise my site.
I came across this http://www.wordtracker.com/academy/keyword-creativity

Does anyone here have a clue as to where to find a free way to list to the search engines (sometimes also referred to as SEO- search engine optimization)?

thanks
Cher

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the link, will check it out.

I also have a blog at www.click2ediscovery.com which I started last year when I was doing a research for my course. I actually started google ads and adsense just couple of months ago on my blog site and everything was fine until I applied my google adsense account to my Ning site. So...not sure what I did wrong...I do dislike NOT knowing hahahaha...

What's more I also use Feedburner (before Google swallowed them up!) and google also messed up my account with feedburner :-(

OK...no more bad news for now...need something more fun!

Hi Judah,

Wow 7000 members...mmm... no wonder Ning's business model is based on ads and marketing.

Thanks for the offer of help. There must be other monetizing campaigns/ads. So perhaps we can collaborate & find ways to champion another way to pay for Ning's ads removal.

Too tired right now...

Many wishes,
Cher
