A short "how to increase your ranking" on search engines

Hi,

There are many sites that offer advice on getting your site a higher rank in search engines when someone searches for "your keywords" such as "abstract art" or "digital surreal art". If you do a search for seo and keywords you will find several sites that offer tutorials on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and free analysis of your site and meta tags/content.

A simple technique that I have used is:
1) Do a google search using the keywords that you think are relevant i.e. ones your potential customers would use.
2) Join any site that you can that gets a first or second page listing.
3) Offer to exchange links with any site that gets a first or second page listing.
4) Add meta tags to your site with those keywords and ensure the content reflects them.

Of course SEO is more complex than those four steps however, if you persist and are successful, you may find your site/membership on googles first page.

For example if you do a search for surreal digital art you will find my website surrealdigitalart.com on the first page in one of the top two or three listings in most all search engines. Choosing the site name with directories as keywords helps too.
